2018 Kern County Regional Science Fair

The 2018 Kern County Science Fair was held at the Rabobank Arena on March 13, 2018. Pictures taken at the 2018 Fair are posted on the Kern County Science Foundation Facebook Photo Page. 2018 California State Science Fair

The California State Science Fair will be held on April 23-24, 2018, at the California Science Center in Los Angeles, CA. More information is now available on their website: A "Mentor Night" in Bakersfield will be available on March 22, 2018, for Kern participants interested in receiving ideas from local experts.


2018 Kern County Middle School Math Field Day (For Grades 6, 7 and 8)

The 2018 Math Field Day will be held on April 28, 2018 at Liberty High School, 925 Jewetta Ave, Bakersfield. Contact either Merci Del Rosario ( or Leeanne Stevens ( for more information.

Tech Trek

Tech Trek is a science and math camp designed to develop interest, excitement, and self-confidence in young women who will enter eighth grade in the fall. It features hands-on activities in math, science, and related fields. All sleeping, eating, instructional, and recreational facilities are located on a university campus where camps are held. Tech Trek is a project of AAUW California (American Association of University Women).

Physics Olympics

Physics Olympics is sponsored by the Kern High School District and supported in part by the Kern County Science Foundation. The 2018 Physics Olympics will be held April 27, 2018 at Bakersfield College..
